Watan Ki Mitti

Watan Ki Mitti is an initiative to create a

community-led pamphlet that honours and explores the complex, often overlooked,

narratives of lands that bear many untold stories.

Many of us being of Pakistani origin, we want to give space to our unheard narratives - and equally - the narratives of others who are not heard and deserve to be!

The publication will be accompanied by events & readings in the UK & online. 

Submissions window: 09 Aug - 09 Oct’25

We will be considering works of original and translated poetry, short essays, fiction, humour, and photography.

• Culture and heritage (include music, food, folklore, humour)
• Identity and home in a world of migrations and conflict
